How we chose
We watched at least the first two episodes of every new series and every new film released on the major services this week. Picks are chosen purely on quality and variety. No platform pays for placement, and ratings reflect our editors’ views alone.
Frequently asked questions
When is this list updated?
Every Monday morning, covering releases from the previous Friday to the following Thursday.
Do you include every streaming service?
We cover all the major subscription services and the biggest rental stores. If a pick requires a specific service, we say so on the card.
Why are some shows missing?
A show only makes the list if at least two editors would recommend it. Plenty of good releases just miss the cut in busy weeks.
