For thirty days, three members of our Reviews Team replaced their usual evening routine with a full stack of wellness gadgets: a smart diffuser, a sleep headband, a sunrise alarm clock and a meditation app. The goal was simple. Find out which devices genuinely changed how we slept, and which ones were just more things to charge.
What worked
The sunrise alarm clock
All three testers kept using it after the month ended. Waking to gradually brightening light felt noticeably gentler than an alarm tone, and two testers reported feeling more alert in the first hour of the day.
The sleep headband
Soft, comfortable and useful for blocking noise from a partner or the street. The sleep tracking was a bonus, but the real value was the combination of darkness and gentle audio. Read our full Lullwave review.
What did not
The smart diffuser was pleasant but did not change anything measurable, and refilling it became a chore by the second week. The meditation app was helpful for one tester and ignored by the other two.
The gadgets that stuck were the ones that asked nothing of us. Anything that needed daily attention quietly fell away.
Reviews Team
The lesson is simple: the best wellness tech removes friction rather than adding tasks. Before buying, ask whether a device will make your evening easier, or just busier.
