Most LED masks share the same problem: they are rigid plastic shells that press on the nose, gap at the cheeks and feel like wearing a helmet. The Aurevia Halo Pro is made from soft medical-grade silicone that bends to the face. It sounds like a small change. In practice, it is the reason our testers kept using it.
How we tested
Five testers with different skin types used the Halo Pro four times a week for eight weeks, keeping a diary and taking standardised photos under controlled lighting at the start and end. We also measured light distribution across the mask’s surface.
Comfort and design
At 180 grams, the Halo Pro is light enough to wear while reading or answering emails. The adjustable strap holds it in place without pressure, and the eye openings include shields so you can keep your eyes open safely. It is fully cordless, which makes a surprising difference to how often you actually use it.
Light coverage and results
Our measurements found notably even coverage, without the dim patches around the jawline that affect many rigid masks. After eight weeks, three of five testers reported a more even-looking skin tone, and two with occasional breakouts felt the blue-light mode helped. Nobody saw dramatic changes, and nobody should expect them from any LED device.
Battery and app
A full charge covers around eight ten-minute sessions. The companion app is optional, which we appreciate: the mask works perfectly well with its single button and built-in timer.
Final verdict
Our favourite LED mask this year
The Aurevia Halo Pro is not cheap, but comfort is what makes LED therapy work, because comfort is what makes you use it. This is the mask we would buy.
